If you’re an Android user, and fed up of seeing constant ads, then this could be one of the most useful articles you will read this year.
Android users are in a hurry to get a new app that will instantly remove all annoying ads and pop-ups
@ecksmc the one thing I like about using Firefox both on Windows and Android is an add-on called NoScript.
It gives you complete control on a Web page, so you only allow it to show what you want to see. I highly recommend it.
@LaMarghe NoScript is also available on chrome & any chromium browser like brave or the Microsoft browsers on laptops/PC's
I've used it for years on various browsers
Privacy badger is also a good one along with NoScript and OptMeowt
OptMeowt is a Browser extension for opting out from the sale and sharing of personal information per the California Consumer Privacy Act and other privacy laws
@ecksmc oh yes, I also use Privacy Badger and UBlock on Firefox. I stopped using Chrome because a few months ago, after an update I couldn't use NoScript anymore. My second browser on Android is Kiwi Browser, also pretty good for privacy. OptMeowt probably wouldn't be very useful to me since I am in Switzerland. But I will definitely look into it, thanks! 🙂
yeah UBlock is a good extension also
i'm in UK and use OptMeowt it does work since a lot of sites we all visit are based in US and even sites that aren't could have servers based in US in big server farms list of domain blocks i have is high lol always fascinated by some domains that show up(screenshots of a handful)
OptMeowt are academic researchers from privacy tech lab worth checking out for sure
It will remove all unwanted ads instantly on every single website online. This includes all news websites, social media apps like Facebook, Twitter, and even video ads on YouTube.
