i have been using the chrome flag for pushing my clippings/clipboard from/to devices

it's actually quite neat

i did enable the flag back in Jul

counter.social/@ecksmc/1045048

but switched it of again

just highlight any text you wanna push to another device and then push it via the menu right click/double tap for chrome

on Android highlight any text till the options bar appear and tap "share" then scroll to find "send txt to device"

the flag has to be enabled via chrome on all device

@ecksmc

hmm.
file this under "things i didn't realize I probably needed until right now."
Cool. Thanks for the heads up.

@MllePandora 👍

i use Join app and chrome extension for a lot of stuff like this

but clipboard pushing i had to set up a quick settings tile to do this kinda thing since android policy on clipboard monitoring changed < so it meant a few extra steps like copying >swiping down > tapping quick setting tile > pasting > then pushing

before after everything i copied i got a wee bubble appear asking if i wanted to share to other devices

always looking for the fastest way < power user and all lol

@ecksmc

Now that I'm primarily using cell-hot-spot internet, I'm switching between phone and desktop a lot more, and often want to move stuff between them easier, but I don't think I'd have noticed this option at all

@MllePandora

i'm always testing flags after every ChromeOS update

usually post the more useful ones i find here

counter.social/@ecksmc/tagged/

tap on any of the toot timestamps top right of a toot will open the thread up as some are threads on the flag in question

@ecksmc

So neat. I am more a PC power-user and not as proficient on my cell, so this is really helpful
5 seconds into looking at the thread and I'm like..
"Wait. Wut. Cat Game?"
Aww. I'm only on Android 10.
😆 (priorities)

Follow
