@duglop nice to meet you, lifetime Trekkie, just introduced my teenaged kids to SNW and we're rewatching Lower Decks, raised them on TNG and Voyager. I loved seasons 1 and 2 of Picard. The writers lost the plot in season 3. Why, for the love of Mike, in all of this turmoil did we not call THE LITERAL BORG QUEEN WHO IS OUR FRIEND to help us? it was poorly written. Did not maintain continuity.

@CarmenSlamdiego Nothing matches TOS - including the old school special effects that you had to actually create as cheaply as possible rather than press a few buttons on a computer program... back to the Borg - they have been supposedly destroyed how many times in TNG, VOY, movies and now Picard even after finding an ally in the friend Queen - how many times has Lore been deactivated? Picard Season 3 is most likely going to lead to 2 new series to keep Trek going into the future!

@CarmenSlamdiego apparently you are new to the Star Trek universe - DS9 could have ended after Season 4, and again after Season 5, then Season 6 & 7 breathed fresh life and storylines into DS9 - Voyager could have made it back to Earth in the 5th Season and again in the 6th Season - but it took another season to get back home, with a very uneventful finale that left open unanswered questions, whereas Enterprise ended prematurely with gaps never closed...

I'm home. I got a ride to and from the hospital. Everything is still really up in the air, but he's currently alive and stable but in a medically induced coma while they figure out a plan for how to handle things from here... I think that's basically what they're looking at. It's so hard to understand what's going on.

Thank you EVERYONE from here that offered thoughts, prayers, and support for helping me make it through the day. Hopefully everything turns out fine but I really don't know yet...
