I went to college and dropped the GOP like a bad habit. Been blue ever since. And now, the Republicans are dangerous. I will not ever vote for another one in my lifetime because I’m sure they will not change. They will however disappear.

@duglop I was reg R (90's), grew up Roman Catholic in a very R area & reg Independent in 2000 minus the Catholicism which got chucked right around 97'. You'd need a bottle of hard alcohol, a vial of holy water & a box of Kleenex for the whys; labels & I've never been friends. I don't recognize the GOP of the last 8+ years. Mainly, it boils down to my empathy & stubborn love for humanity, living creatures & this planet we live on for the short duration we are given.

@duglop in Wisconsin, we don’t put a party down when we register but I didn’t really vote until the late 90’s. I voted twice for Bush, I liked the 1000 points of light, the idea of working locally and everyone improving their communities. I actually considered voting for McCain until he chose Palin, I thought she was a vacant dip right away so voted for Obama. I have voted blue since then. Health care is vital to my family, the ACA protections have been wonderful for us.

I need to get a bus pass for this area. I want to go out wandering and discovering on my own but my plantar fasciitis really affects my walking range.
