WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Former U.S. President Donald Trump, who is the Republican presidential candidate, said on Friday he will seek the prosecution of Google if he wins the Nov. 5 election, claiming that the company only displays "bad stories" about him.

Trump, in his post on Truth Social, gave no evidence for his assertion about Google.

Independent journalist Ken Klippenstein was suspended from X after he published the hacked dossier compiled by the Trump campaign during its vetting of JD Vance.

Back in February, the Trump campaign compiled a research dossier on Vance in order to vet the Ohio senator as a potential running mate for Donald Trump. The 271-page document included a section about “potential vulnerabilities,” which included his past criticism of the former president.

The most-visited news website in the United States is trying out a paywall.

In early October, CNN will begin experimenting with charging some readers for digital access as part of a bid to shore up its business as cable television erodes industrywide, according to two people with knowledge of the decision.

The company is planning a so-called metered model, which will require the site’s habitual users to pay after reading a certain number of articles, the people said.
