WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Former U.S. President Donald Trump, who is the Republican presidential candidate, said on Friday he will seek the prosecution of Google if he wins the Nov. 5 election, claiming that the company only displays "bad stories" about him.
Trump, in his post on Truth Social, gave no evidence for his assertion about Google.
NEW YORK (AP) β Some judges in a New York appeals court appeared receptive Thursday to possibly reversing or reducing a civil fraud judgment that stands to cost Donald Trump nearly $500 million. One judge called the former presidentβs penalty βtroublingβ and wondered if the stateβs policing of private business transactions was βdeterrenceβ or βmission creep.β

Independent journalist Ken Klippenstein was suspended from X after he published the hacked dossier compiled by the Trump campaign during its vetting of JD Vance.
Back in February, the Trump campaign compiled a research dossier on Vance in order to vet the Ohio senator as a potential running mate for Donald Trump. The 271-page document included a section about βpotential vulnerabilities,β which included his past criticism of the former president.
On Friday, Trump told reporters that he will not be selling his stock in Trump Media, which is traded under the ticker symbol βDJTβ (Trumpβs initials), saying he βloves it.β But there is a huge incentive for Trump to say he wonβt sell, even if thatβs not the truth. Trump is beholden by rules that stipulate he is only allowed to start selling his shares on Thursday if Trump Media stock remains above $12 a share. On Wednesday, they were trading for just over $15.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump promised "more water than you ever saw" to Californians, partly by tapping resources from a Canadian river.
"You have millions of gallons of water pouring down from the north with the snow caps and Canada, and all pouring down and they essentially have a very large faucet," Trump said on Friday.
The White House on Monday criticized Elon Musk's now-deleted post that questioned why former President Trump has recently faced two apparent assassination attempts while President Biden and Vice President Harris have not.
The big picture: After Sunday's apparent attempt on Trump's life, Musk wrote on his X platform in a since-removed post, "And no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala π€."

Robert Kennedy Jr. is planning to drop out of the presidential race by the end of this week, sources familiar with the decision tell ABC News.
Sources say Kennedy is leaning toward endorsing former President Donald Trump, though the sources cautioned the decision is not yet finalized and could still change, with one source adding Kennedy's hope is in part to finalize things quickly in order to try to blunt momentum from the DNC.

Donald Trump said Tuesday he would βcertainlyβ be open to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. playing a role in his administration if the independent candidate drops out of the 2024 race and endorses the former president.
βHeβs a brilliant guy. Heβs a very smart guy. Iβve known him for a very long time,β the Republican presidential nominee said. βI didnβt know he was thinking about getting out, but if he is thinking about getting out, certainly Iβd be open to it.β

Taylor Swift has yet to endorse any presidential candidate this election cycle. But former President Donald Trump says he accepts the superstarβs non-existent endorsement.
Trump posted βI accept!β on his Truth Social account, along with a carousel of (Swift) images β at least some of which appear to be AI-generated.
One of the AI-manipulated photos depicts Swift as Uncle Sam with the text, βTaylor wants you to vote for Donald Trump.β

Maddow reports Trump plans 2nd insurrection
Maddow reported on MSNBC:
Trump has "planted" election officials in swing states and other states. They are election deniers.
Trump says he has all the votes he needs. He is not talking about the popular vote?
So the plan is to flip the election to Trump by Congress or SCOTUS?
What is President Biden's and Democrats plan to respond to and STOP Trump's implied threat? We need to know.
This may take a massive task force trained and ready.
