U.S. president-elect Donald Trump has picked a former Michigan congressman as his upcoming administration’s ambassador to Canada.
Hoekstra served as U.S. ambassador to the Netherlands during Trump’s first term as president.

lol ... in 2017 I wrote a speech our BC Minister of International Trade delivered at a tripartate meeting with US, Mexico and Canadian counterparts (and retinue) that I'm told was well received. It started with "These interesting times" and apparently the crowd laughed 😂 😂 😂
