Completely irresponsible waxwing birds tend to eat fermented fruit and then lie drunk on the sidewalks. Wise passers-by collect them and put them in a safe place until they sober up. π¦

I caught a completely irresponsible waxwing on my fly rod while fishing once. Took my fly on my back cast. Flew circles around my head while I reeled it in to untangle it.
Oh wow that would have been an experience !!
I caught my ear on a back cast once took a few min to figure out the owie. Good thing hubby got it free with some plyers and cutter.

It was interesting! I had a hopper and a dropper on, it wrapped around its neck. I reeled it in, it fell in the creek, I grabbed it and tried to untangle it. Little bugger kept trying to bite me.ππ€£ππ€£ππ€£
My goodness, I never knew that Cedar Waxwings were Drunken Sots! Chomping down on fermented berries, they over imbibe and pass out on the ground! I've seen a couple around my yard... there will be no fermented drunkards at my house! (heh heh heh)
