Is it illegal though? Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating for it & feel it should def be illegal, but he's not paying for their votes or registrations, right? He's paying them to "sign a petition that says you believe in the US constitution" (but only the 1st & 2nd amendments).
He's gathering information, just like Cambridge analytica did in 2016, except the signers are willingly giving info this time.
Bc of that, I don't think it's technically illegal, but I hope I'm wrong π€
@ExecutiveFunction404 @dauphin87
No, what illegal is that ONLY the registered voters are eligible to win the $1M dollars... not the unregistered voters.
Bc it can be seen as enticement to register? We already found out that, in reference to the law, "we know what he meant" doesn't equate to "he said it flat out". And now every bad actor in the country (and world) will use that loophole for as long as they can until they get bored or some law/ruling halts it.
I think the bigger fish here is how closely his PAC is working with trump's campaign. Super PACs aren't permitted to do that since citizens united.
@dauphin87 such a disappointment all around. Good thing he didn't make it to the supreme Court!
