JD Vance was asked on CNN about the days of bomb threats in Springfield, Ohio, since he and former President Donald J. Trump began amplifying false claims that Haitian migrants there are eating pets. Mr. Vance doubled down on the claims, saying they came from “first-hand accounts from my constituents.” He attacked the interviewer, Dana Bash, for fact-checking him, and accused her of being a “Democratic propagandist” for connecting his and Mr. Trump’s words to the bomb threats.
