I can remember standing at Mt. Vernon back in 2016 on a hot August night. Also my daughter and I standing at the Lincoln Memorial and taking shelter during a thunderstorm. It was hotter than Hell. I was thinking how much I loved my country with all of its glory and all of its faults. I'm from the south, but I believe in the union and the rights and freedoms of all of our citizens. We, I cannot allow this evil to succeed. Trump, MAGA, Christofascism, whatever the threat. No hashtag. Mute me.
