@NOliver Oddly this is my third encounter with a rattlesnake. I wouldn't exactly call it combat, but I did what I had to do to neutralize the threat. It's a strange feeling actually. I hold no malice toward the snake.

That rattle is chilling. My Ex when cutting hay in Wyoming, would bring in the rattler off the snakes killed by the swather , sneak up & shake it in my ear. Sounded just like in the old western movies.
