There have always been those who take whatever they can by force or guile. They care not for the next generation as long as they get theirs.
There have always been those who help the hurt, plan for others, and take responsibility.
By now it is obvious that the latter is winning. Slowly, but winning.

Worked with a guy who was from th seventh day adventist community. He bemoaned his relatives who never took care of their cars because, you know, the end was near.
What I heard from him was no responsibility to 'doing the right thing' , claimed people only did kind things to be 'seen'.
