When trump announced he was holding a press conference at 2pm yesterday, I was hoping Biden was going to call a press conference at 2pm from the Whitehouse just to mess with trump, would've been a perfect opportunity to announce by executive order that all student loans were going into forbearance until the court cases were resolved.
Would've been an easy way to mess with trump & cause fox to have a panic attack at needing to cover trump, or have their latest n greatest anchor bitch about Biden

@Liliki righhhht, like I can understand not wanting to rock the boat to much to give Kamala & Tim a hard time in an critical election, but like this would've been basically a toothless announcement, that would've caused pure chaos in the lunatic branch of the Republican party.

My stupid loan servicer has already on their own or Department of Education ordered (I really don't know but at least they told me this time!), stuffed my loans back into forbearance.

@Liliki and honestly I just want to pay back my student loans, this program is probably too 20 most corrupted, crooked thing in the world.

My payment amounts have been illegally changed over the years by my servicer, I've had absolutely no luck reaching anyone in my elected congress officials about it.

I never stopped paying in the pandemic, the calendar year before repayments finally restarted, they dropped my monthly payment to 28$ down from the 176$ it had been since I entered repayment.

Follow

@Liliki I changed jobs, but my taxes didn't change much between those two years. I made within the same $ range for repayment calculations within roughly +1500$ so there was no reason to suddenly drop me down to 28$
3-4 months before the covid forbearance expired, my servicer JACKED the payments up to 252$ which I mean thanks for forcing me to pay off a ~1k interest free suckers, but that absolutely 1000% did not align with what the DOE loan payment calculator said my max payment would be.

@Liliki
If this was any other group of people and or small businesses, being forced to play what's my payment going to be this month roulette, there would be rioting on the streets banks would be under seize. I have private students loans with variable interest and since those entered repayment in 2019, my monthly bill has increased only by 20$ and that's over the course of the entire time in repayment, I currently pay 199$ a month on those.

Hilariously those loans r due to be paid off first.🤦‍♂️
