Well the ADD med shortage hit me. I’ll be home for 48 ish hours and the second pharmacy doesn’t have Concerta until Monday.

Idk what I’m doing to do.

@misslovelymess
Saw this on the firehose, so not sure of your background, but I'm a fellow neurodivergent that's on generic Adderall
I've been without for 4 days before. As someone who hates phone calls.
Start calling earlier, Call different pharmacies in the area, and then have your doctor transfer the prescription. <continued>

@crazyuncleharris I’ve had it happen once, but this time I only have tomorrow to figure it out before I travel West for work. Doc is not in tomorrow.

@misslovelymess
Well, that certainly complicates things. Um, I'm not sure of all the federal regulation bullshit on the pills(besides that, it makes my life a goddamn nightmare at times), but can your doctor potentially send it to a different branch of your preferred pharmacy out wherever you're going?
(unless you are like me, whose "Health insurance" refuses to work with some major pharmacy chains)

@misslovelymess like my doctor's office will take messages for my doctor (that's what happened on my 4-day outage, he accidentally sent the prescription to the wrong pharmacy on Thursday and was out Friday, but when he was back on Monday, that's the first thing he corrected)
So you could potentially call and see if you can get it sent out wherever you're going and pick it up on Monday out there?

@crazyuncleharris I live in a very rural area with only local pharmacies in my town. I might be able to find out what they do have and then call the on-call doc to get the rx switched. If not my doc will transfer on Monday if I can find a pharmacy close to where I’ll be in Colorado. It’s a ton of work, but I’ll figure it out. I think.
