(Re-Toot)

A modest proposal:

Let us start a new hashtag,

Let this be a place where anyone can ask for help.
Without judgement, or shame.

A place where anyone can offer help, or experience.

Let this be a place free of blame, fear, or feeling less-than.

Let this be a place where we offer our knowledge, know how, and wisdom.

If you need, ask here.
If you have, please give of it freely.

Back in town, for a moment.

Note: I did not have time, too annotate, or attribute, these links, nor hashtag. This is the good stuff that I found when going back online. So you will just have to click what you think will interest you.

(Note 2: I have been playing around with scripts, that auto generate this Markdown file, but have not gotten it to do, attributes, or hashtags.)

Folks.

I am out of here.
Going back home in a few minutes.

(Home is still without mains, cell, and internet service.)

I will bring back some of the magic, and interdependence of the deep forest.

See you all late Saturday night. (pacific time)

a simple way to do builds.

I’ve been using ninja for a few months now. I really like it and it’s caused me approximately 0 build-related headaches which feels pretty magical to me.

Accessible healthcare could be key to solving climate crisis.

Looking more closely at community-level logging rates, the researchers found that the greatest drop-offs in logging occurred adjacent to villages with the highest rates of clinic usage.

DARKFIELD is a multi-sensory sonic theme park.
Behind the doors of each shipping container a strange world unfolds…

DARKFIELD’s work is at the forefront of technology and theatre, using a variety of sensory effects to situate each audience member at the centre of intense evolving narratives.

This is a new business model. One books a performance for 2 people, ($15.00) in advance. Then you sit in a darkened room with headphones on.

finally, someone has reinvented crutches....where were these the half dozen time I had knee surgeries....🤷‍♂️

More:

So ... for the moment, here is my current favorite masks.

Of course an N95 mask, for prolonged, up close to people, work.

For casual wear, this 3 ply cotton twill mask, is the best I have worn.
Large enough, with a unique neck strap, that also acts to tighten mask when on.

Thoughts:

While working, and in town this weekend. I have noticed a new casual conversational trope, used all over by almost every one.
"I like your mask, where did you get it?"
"Man I have tried so many mask styles, yours seams to fit better, where did you get it?"
"Cool mask."
"I need a mask like that."
"Have you seen these masks?"

On and on. Nobody is not wearing a mask, and all this small talk about masks, is normalizing the whole deal. Great to hear. Great to participate in.

To reiterate @th3j35t3r words.....

If you are out of work, or short of funds, this place is still open and welcomes your participation.

Please do not feel obligated to help fund this place.

This is your place.

We all hold up each others sky.

There will come a time, when you can help financially.
Until then don't sweat it.

Yet, if you can throw this place a little money, this is the time, as a big bill is coming due.

Just to remind you:

My greatest Buddhist teachings:
(There ain't no free lunch, and you can't get away with shit.)

If you can, please help support this place.

If someone bought you a spectacular lunch, you would be grateful.
If they did it day after day....
You might say, "Hey, why don't I pick up the tab today"

This place is still mostly funded by one person, buying us all a spectacular meal, day after day.
