@NorthernInvader As someone who was raised in a religious home (Christianity), it causes very deep pain for me to see family members who have swallowed the lies of this man and his movement.

The only thing that provides any sort of understanding (for me) from a 'religious' point of view is 2 Thessalonians 2:1–12.

Does the "Man of Lawlessness" sound like anyone we know?

Even if you are not a religious person, reading those 12 verses might sound very familiar to you at this point in history.

@codeWhisperer I read the bible cover to cover as a kid (baptist church so I had to). As an adult I became a confirmed atheist and remain ever so to this day and will never read any of it again. I'm not proselytizing so if it helps you that's fine.

@NorthernInvader I am also not proselytizing, just explaining what has helped me. If it helps someone else who - like me - was raised in a religious home but who now has their own personal spiritual views - great. If not, feel free to ignore. πŸ™‚

@MakerWerks

After spending the best part of a year in the hospital(a catholic one at that) at age 13 having nuns, as well as my parents, pray for me, (I was very very ill), and of course this good baptist doing the same, and having the nuns etcetera praise god instead of the surgeons for saving me, started me on the path to reason.
