I brought the Sony SSC5’s in from the garage and am A/B testing them against some JBL Monitor 530’s and GR-Research low-end DIY kit speakers. The Sony are winning. How are speakers this cheap THIS good? I mean really?!?
@MookyTroubadour I still run a pair of Radio Shack Minimus 7 speakers as an alternate set of nearfield monitors in my DAW based bedroom studio. I've owned them since they were new.

@MakerWerks @MookyTroubadour Same here. I have several pair as 'spares', and also run a subwoofer with them as my desk system. Plenty good sound, but I have to admit I've been eyeing these as well as some Andrew Jones models and ELACs. Or maybe I'll just have some fun and mod the Minimus 7s. 🙂
