@Bix @Eulimnadia @InUnfunky @CanisPundit @JerichoTaskerDeaux @UmbaSaffire When I was a kid, I had an old console tube receiver/amp from my grandfather that looked similar to the photos in that first video. Seeing them immediately brought back that distinctive smell of warm tubes in bakelite. Anybody out there remember?
Hmm. New band name, there.

If you find something good (equipment-wise) keep me posted. I, too, am looking. Thinking about building some folded horns, and I think that a tube amp would be a good choice for the setup.

Holy cow! That was quite a find!

It is a thrill to have audio components that I wanted (but, I could not afford them) in the 1980's for dirt cheap.
Also, speakers are pretty easy to repair.

I am cheap, I bought my McIntosh amp for $20 from a thrift store. I bought three pairs of very expensive ones in the 80's, JBL's from thrift stores for $10 or $20 that I repaired.
