Code's eclectic music pick of the day:

A short discussion of binaural a couple of weeks ago made me think that maybe there are some out there who've not tried it. So this week's theme will be music.

Binaural is a special technique that records using a human head model. Playback sounds much more like "you are there"

However, to get the effect, you MUST listen on headphones. So put 'em on, close your eyes, and check out Amber Rubarth

I will also add that binaural is not simply stereo recording with panning. The psycho-acoustic model captures subtle cues that your brain interprets as directionality, or singer/instrument placement. This means your brain will hear sounds from behind you, from above you, etc.
