Democracy is in jeopardy because the obscenely rich don't want to be regulated in ANY way.
They've purchased their own political party & have significant money invested in the other.
If they're forced to submit to a government, they want that institution run by those who worship at the altar of capitalism (greed).
Propaganda is their most effective tool, wielded with deadly precision against the uneducated.
This is humanity in a nutshell, back to the dawn of recorded history.

You do know that almost 50% of Congress are millionaires. And that the president is a multi-millionaire. And most of them have been lifelong politicians so how did they make their wealth. You want to go after the rich start there.
