Two comments...
The first, as hard as it may be to believe, I've always found to be true:
"No pain, no gain"
Good always follows difficulty.
The second: no need for a new country, just bring back sanity to the one we have. I'm certain you can relate to the quote for that one:
"Been there, done that"
This country of ours has been through similar 'challenges' before. We both have seen and have lived through them.

Folks may perceive I am dismissing the heartbreak of the election outcome too readily.

I am not. I am deeply upset by events, the betrayal of the news media, the sale of our nation to a few billionaires. I’m angry that countless people will suffer more losses of freedom and safety. I’m scared.

So I am in a “both/and” mindset. This is horrible AND I am living the best I can right now. People I love are fading. I don’t want to miss today. I choose to live and love. No surrender.
