In an absolute miracle, Freddy went into his travel carrier without any trouble. He watched me bring it out and make sure it was clean, then we went for a long walk, and then he just went into his carrier. I played music during the drive because he likes music.

Freddy's vet appt went well. The vet told me Freddy was voted best Holiday Colors pet. (He is green and red) He's in good shape for his age (40ish) and got his nails trimmed and his beak buffed.

My county has moved from COVID low risk to medium risk and reported 2 new deaths. ICU still under moderate pressure.

I braved downtown. It was bitterly cold (for here) and I should have worn socks but didn't. However, the last errands are done!

Sadly, the croissants went sideways. I have very very low expectations of a good outcome. I think I know what went wrong and I will try again.

As promised, I am making croissants for my son. Hoping my third try is perfection. My second attempt came awfully close to that so I'm hopeful.

In five minutes I have to get the cat in the carrier for a vet appt. She is up and about in my room so I shut the door but I'm terrified she'll go under the bed. I may just crate her now.
