If you are in your 50s or 60s, your measles vaccine may have been ineffective. You can get tested for immunity and if you aren't immune, like I turned out not to be, get vaccinated! healthline.com/health-news/som?

Does ineffective measles vax make you more susceptible to shingles?

Follow

@LnzyHou I don’t know. I would think it’s unrelated because shingles is related to chicken pox but you don’t want measles or shingles! If you’re in the group who might have gotten the ineffective measles vax get tested. and ask if you can get your shingles vax too. My mom got shingles and she was in agony!

@cjewel

Getting my shingles (2) vax in January when Medicare will cover them. $300+ otherwise.
