This is a question for the computer geniuses here , I received this email but I don’t even own a pc , this has to be a scam , do you guys notice something suspicious? To me the email address of the person sending it looks suspicious.

I appreciate your help.

@Jorro Good instincts! Scams like these fool people every minute!

@ITKV thank you !! I’m really outdated in all these things but people here are smart and it is better to ask , here people are so nice !! !!

@Jorro @ITKV I can usually verify it’s a scam by right clicking the “Norton” address. Generally it will show you a gmail or hotmail return address. I get this at least two-three times a year. Of course I also have three different email addresses.

@cjcrew @ITKV I have like five email addresses because I used to have two accounts on the dead bird and I have two for mastodon and , I will follow your advice!! Thanks !!!!!

@Jorro @ITKV I have an account with my former employer, they let you keep your email account when you retire, I have my main account that I use for family, friends and subscriptions I trust. Then I have my Gmail account which is for Amazon because living in rural USA you have Walmart, Target and Amazon. Used to have a yahoo account but I let that one die.

@cjcrew @ITKV I started using protonmail because one of my sons recommended me and I like it .

@Jorro @ITKV I should check into that. I’m going to dump Comcast at some point here, just need to find another ISP. That means my primary email account will be gone and I’m not overly fond of my MSU account.
