@NOliver I’m sure she does as well but who knows what he threatens her with to keep her there. Money, citizenship, Barron, Barron’s inheritance, so many material things. And who knows, she looks shut down enough emotionally that staying with someone as reprehensible as him might not be as difficult for her as it would be for most.
