As an #atheist I have to wonder, how many centuries of conflict, persecution, poverty, hunger, despair and atonement do you endure before you begin to wonder if maybe you're not your deities favorite?
(Not picking sides, not aimed at any one belief system)
@redenigma yes, idk if anyone puts on a spectacle worthy of $100๐ these days. U2, Pink Floyd, Rush would have been worthy.
@redenigma My first Texxas Jam tix were $19. I stopped being able to affordRush tours back in the late 90's. But now I see smaller artists and venues (Frank Turner $35, Pineapple Thief $35, Brian Fallon is upcoming and those were a gift but would have been $40)
"We were once the cool guys ..."
I think that's the saddest sentence I've ever read ๐คฃ
I'm a proud GenX ... and we will always be the cool ones ๐คฃ
@thewebrecluse lol...I was never one of the cool guys as my high school photo would attest (plastic frame glasses, shaggy mess of hair). Was a nerd and still am but I've become less of a dork as I got older
I feel seen but now less unique.
Even though I'm in the US, can definitely relate to this piece. But I cringe at the Facebook photos of some of the bands I follow with old people lining the rail.
I wonder how they feel, in their 20's, 30's and they're appealing to large swaths of 50 year olds?

@thewebrecluse thanks for sharing this.
This is one of things where, as I read it, I realized it's coalesced the scattershot thoughts that rattle around my head sometimes when talking to others about poverty, inequality and other such subjects.๐ก

@LnzyHou feels good on both ends
I love to send gifts for nothing.
It's Monday and I think about the glory days of WCDQ that broadcast from Sanford Me. Monday night was blues night, Sunday was reggae and they just played the best music mix always.
