Why is it, in SF, they send someone off on an extended solo space missions and they all go nuts after 6 months?
I'm not being antisocial, but I feel like if I had sufficient supplies (air, food, toilet paper) I'd be okay never interacting with another person. I'm okay I'm my own space.
@TrueBloodNet true, would depend on the craft but I'm thinking if NASA set me up properly, I would just need something a bit bigger than the space shuttle.
Think about that awful Passengers movie, Chris Pratt is on a cruise ship and can't keep away from creeping on the popsicle passengers
@chuck34108 Yeah IDK it would depend on 'things happening'. LOL
Studies have concluded that many people — and a majority of men — would rather be subjected to painful electric shocks than have to spend time by themselves without external entertainments.

@mcfate yikes! 😬 I may spend most of time watching space and daydreaming, but I don't think I'd wind up going all delusional.
Most people have unrealistic ideas about themselves.
I sit down and stare at nothing and think about nothing for over half an hour every day.
It's not nearly as easy as it sounds. Try it.
@mcfate lol...my past has given me plenty of opportunities for that.
@Wbtphdjd exactly.
@chuck34108 I'm OK solo but I'd need a fur kid. The big issue is small spaces, no place for real walks, not much stimulation. After a while, it's like being in solitary confinement.
