I had an unusual patio bird today.
It's usually only doves and sparrows. Is that a Kestrel? I don't know birds.

Looks bigger than a kestrel. Maybe a sharp shinned or a Cooper’s hawk

@chuck242 I believe it is, and looking for those sparrows and doves because that's what he eats.

He's there to make a meal of a few sparrows.
Sometimes we stop feeding for a week or so till the hawk stops coming around.

@chuck242 Cooper’s hawk most likely. Kestrels are legitimately TINY, the size of songbirds themselves.

That Coopers is after a snacky snack of your doves and sparrows.
