@LlamaMountainStudioArts @celticsfanaticentomologist Just FYI they are constantly moving slime molds around on the phylogenetic tree. They still don't know much about them except that they seem to have some really surprising 'thinking' abilities for what they are. And they aren't fungi.

@LlamaMountainStudioArts @celticsfanaticentomologist Hmm well it's a Myxogastria cuz you can see it and a plasmodial and a saprophyte cuz it's living on dead mulch. Probably Fuligo septica aethalium in it's later stages .. or by it's better known name: dog vomit slime mold. Was it kinda bright yellow at some stage?
