Estimates to build TMX have gone up from an initial $7.4 billion to an astonishing $21.4 billion. When it’s done, it will facilitate a massive increase in greenhouse gas emissions.

The pipeline project symbolizes the contradictions in Canada’s climate policy. Never have Canadian politicians spent so much for so little, and at the wrong time.
