Hey I have an idea

How about we create a senate/house select committee and fill it with the people who are in the middle between 'omg all gunz are teh evils' and 'mah gunz mah freedom's fuck your dead childrenz' and then hammer out some reasonable common sense gun regulations that actually help with the gun problems in this country?

We haven't had a mass shooting in over a week. Is it time to talk about it or do we have to wait till after the next time some nut shoots up a kindergarten?
