So last week I finally just took the time to finish the main story of Cyberpunk 2077. I made my choices and I got an ending.
And then, I looked up the alternate endings and I am disappointed that regardless of the various options, it seems to come down to two or three unsatisfying conclusions for me.
And literally each one I think could have been made better with like one extra line of dialogue.
I love playing with new things.
So I just tried SvelteKit out for the first time today.
Less than 10 minutes I had a reactive page rendered from an API request.
Color me impressed.
V1 of this website project I'm making might be built in it. But first for ease of use, I'm going back in refactoring some of the parts of the API.
@spacesloth The initial inspiration for this was creating a bingo card that would randomly generate while my old WoW guild would raid.
It was a hard coded website that works but is a pain in the ass to update. When I stopped playing I had to keep updating it from time to time.
The goal here is that I can have somebody else currently playing actually keep it updated, And now I can also generate it for other people to possibly create their own Bingo cards. Have a streamer friend interested too
@spacesloth I've played with react a bit and vue. Debating which of those I should do but also possibly considering trying out svelte.
I consider myself an intermediate dev in a lot of ways and just like playing with things.
@spacesloth currently no. I wanted to make sure I could get it in a queryable state.
No real sensitive data currently stored.
I'm using fastapi in python currently (been using Python mainly for the past few years so wanted to try it out)
Debating what to do the front end in for now
@spacesloth this was a basic API that I'm building for a bingo app basically.
Currently have a discord bot scaffolded, and the API and database set up.
Now to build the actual website
@sentientdessert ain't that the damn truth.
I think my server configuration just isn't updating properly. I'll push harder tomorrow into it
@Rudnxtx welcome!
@TheLiverOfPromethius welcome! Ask away, but others will probably give better answers than me
