Margaret Brennan and Norah O'Donnell will serve as moderators during the VP debate, or should I say, time keepers, given that they won't be fact-checking.

I expect the following to be raised during tonight's VP debate:
- immigrants eating cats
- stolen valor
- taxing single folks without children
- cat ladies
- Vance's former characterization of Trump as Hitler
- Trump's concept of a healthcare plan
- selling out one's family

The next case regarding GA election board is whether poll workers must hand count all votes on election in addition to the machine tabulation.

Good news: Election boards must certify results despite new GA rules. Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert Burney dealt with that nonsense in short order. ajc.com/politics/democrats-are

Judge Robert Burney in ruling GA's anti-abortion law to be unconstitutional wrote about the indentured servitude that would result if a woman was forced to carry an unwanted pregnancy to term. Quite a powerful argument.

That's good news in itself and worth noting that he is presiding over tomorrow’s bench trial about the legality of two Georgia Election Board rules.😎

No more forgetting history...Requirement to teach segregation case in California schools: Gov. Newsom signed AB 1805 on Sept. 20, requiring public schools in the state to teach Mendez v. Westminster. The 1947 court case involving an Orange County family and local school districts helped bring about the end of segregation laws in schools around the country. AB 1805 takes effect Jan. 1, 2025.

On Netflix (in the UK anyway), I thoroughly recommend this documentary about the coal workers strikes in the 1980s, and especially about the Battle of Orgreave. Please Google that, you won't believe it.

Now, coming from a part of Scotland that the Tories decimated, especially the shipbuilding industry, I always knew that Margaret Thatcher was an evil fuck. No exaggeration.

To say this sheds more light on her way of thinking, is an understatement. Well worth watching.

The New York Times editorial board endorses Vice President Harris:

"As a dedicated public servant who has demonstrated care, competence and an unwavering commitment to the Constitution, Kamala Harris stands alone in this race."

Over the past 20 years, Republican counties have become increasingly reliant on the government assistance. Those voters seem not to be aware that their party is trying to cut the programs that they rely on.
