The Government Accountability Office (GAO, est. 1921) - saves $133 for every $1 of funding it receives. If all GAO recommendations were implemented, the financial benefit could be >$200 bil.
Basically, Musk’s DOGE effort is wasteful given that we already have the GAO.
@carmen The goal has nothing to do with streamlining government and everything to do with prioritizing the desires of the elite over the needs of the masses.
Hence who they selected to head it up.
