My husband commutes daily to the Bay Area for work. He says it was dark like the dead of night by 3:00 on Wednesday. The schools are mostly closed there due to the air conditions.
There are many still missing and I am hearing sad & heartbreaking rumors of convalescent hospitals & senior citizen homes never evacuated.
@carmahaz I was driving along the Berkeley bayshore today and it looked like the earth ended just a few hundred yards away. San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge...totally invisible. Just a hazy orange sun in a gray sky
