@MisterE I'm following lots of people. I didn't have much luck in when I looked in there. Maybe later when I get settled in my mom's house. Thanks!

@SterlingWright Mom very much appreciated your comment above the link! My sister weighed over 9 lbs, my brother over 8, and I was 10 lbs exactly. Can you say OUCH? (Yes, the family doctor told her she was done after I was born.)

@MisterE *adopts Count Dracula-esque voice* Good EVE-ning.

@LiberalLibrarian OMG, that's sorta what happened to ours over an addendum to "recategorize" books by LGBTQ+ and black authors, as well as those seen as "objectionable content," including self-help books especially for children who've been victims of trauma. The newly hired content acquisition librarian quit, as did the multimedia guru-ess right during the public board meeting! It's always been a lovely library; I hope it doesn't close because of butt-hattery.

@LiberalLibrarian She's got to win against a female republican who is supposedly endorsed by "never Trumpers." Could be a tough one. But, like my brother-in-law said (lives in Kettle Falls, WA): "There have been more improvements on the whole to Michigan since that woman took office than this state has seen in a long time, and I'm talking even more than her democratic predecessors." I didn't care--and still don't--for her occasional lack of professionalism, but that might be her winning ticket!

@sfleetucker Okay, I like rodents as pets, and this photo gives me the wiggins.

@LiberalLibrarian Sounds a lot like what 2 of Michigan's Republican Gubernatorial candidates want to do with steps taken in our state toward trans equality & rights. Would you believe one guy actually ends his campaign ad with the galactically stupid "Pronouns: Conservative/Pro-life"?! He also said he was "pro-education," which is good because he doesn't know what a pronoun is. Thankfully, he and the other no-please-never candidate lost to the one I'd vote for if still voting republican.

For those of you who haven't had the lovely experience of watching Kevin Kline, Linda Ronstadt, Rex Smith, and Angela Lansbury in Gilbert & Sullivan's comedy operetta (i.e., English spoof of opera) The Pirates of Penzance, YouTube has it up for free, bless them:

@LiberalLibrarian Okay, I know that doesn't stand for cathode-ray tube. (Yes, I am that old. My first three PC's had CRT monitors. Very bad for the photo sensitive!)

@thinman OMG, YES! The best version of Pirates of Penzance EVER! Better than the Broadway version with the same trio, I think, because that Ruth was constantly off key, but not Angela Lansbury! She was a "Broadway Baby" well before she was on TV! And, who knew Linda Ronstadt was classically trained in opera when she was belting out "It's So Easy"? (Don't get me started on how I felt about Rex Smith before he revealed the gem beneath the glam rockstar!)

Well, this is clear as mud, but I think I finally caught on to what it's saying....
(Learn about the difference between "since" and "hence" in English grammar.)

Okay, 5-part thread complete. Sorry, but I really had a lot to say on that issue after someone who himself has a sickness referred to we perfectly healthy (in the way he's referring) individuals.
