When Mom & I went to see Dad yesterday, he was sneezing so loud I heard him as soon as we entered the building (2 doors down from lobby), was answering questions & talking sense, had already drunk an entire root beer float & was asking for another one, & his body was cool instead of giving off heat. (Giving off heat is a “soon sign,” we were told.) However, his short-term memory & vitals were super low, & he was on O2 via nasal cannula, which he hates.

I plan to interact quite a bit today while Mom is out on errands. I also need to do some stuff around the house and some business on the computer before fun stuff, but I need to connect with my peeps! Some of you especially deserve acknowledgment! You know who you are. *big but safe hugs*

When the birds awake 43 minutes before sunrise:

To serve: Eat one ball per day at the time you have the most trouble with hunger cravings, sweet tooth, etc. This snack has crunch, is delicious, and fills you up to ward off the urge to grab unhealthy snacks between meals. One ball is also a good source of fiber. Enjoy!

Directions: Pour enough honey in large serving bowl of oats while stirring until all oats are wet. With gloved hands, pick up a fistful of mixture and shape into large meatball size and shape. Put on wax paper-lined cookie sheet. Repeat until all mixture is formed into large meatball forms and placed on cookie sheet. Put cookie sheet with treat balls in refrigerator for at least an hour.

Rolled Oat “Bites”
Needs:
Organic Maple Syrup
OR
Organic Honey (more nutritional value)
Quick Oats
Wax paper
Cookie sheet
Plastic gloves

FYI: Dad’s showing lots of indicators that he’s probably in his last few weeks of life. If I get really inactive here, it’s because I’m active with RL stuff. Actually, that’s true as a general rule. #VitaInterruptus

@h2oaddicted I’m okay with the sparkly colorful ones the professionals do, but I can’t stand the white spots that go boom! I don’t care for the swirlies of white that whistle in a potentially triggering way, either. I know my uncle wouldn’t do well with those. The fireworks people have to leave Michigan to buy are the ones that really bother me, tho, because amateurs are careless and often drunk when using them and don’t consider neighbors or pets.
