Fifty years ago today I stood in the middle of a road and watched an F5 tornado grind my hometown into a pile of rumble. The memories of that day still live so vividly with me.
@CherNohio born and raised in Xenia. I can close my eyes and see/hear the monster as clear as when it happened.
Attended a 50th anniversary reception last night and caught up with a few classmates.

Were many in attendance for the 50th recognition of the event?
@CherNohio Yes! There was an event downtown across from the courthouse that was well attended. The Library sponsored an event that was sold out.

I didn't realize you were from that area and had witnessed the EF5. It is something one doesn't ever forget and at that level, forever etched.
