Break from finishing outting away Christmas

What a great start to 2024.
The plan was simple: take Jan 8 off and start the year with 3 four-day weeks.
Only I ended up being pulled into meetings and doing 9 hours of work, while recovering from a cold.
Oh and then yesterday was a 17 hour day because the storms yesterday knocked a customer data center off line.
Yea 2024.

So, obligatory Christmas Eve post. At least we got the gits wrapped and under the tree.

Murder, mayhem, missing persons, and thrift stores.

The start of the last scheduled official working day of 2024. Of course, who am I kidding, I'm fully expecting and expected that I will be spending a fair amount of time next week on the work laptop because something needs to be done.

Well, my wife's annual Christmas break cold has made its appearance.
The joys of being married to a middle school teacher.

The moment when I realized that a tool I've been using at work for the last couple of years is one that I wrote to troubleshoot a problem in my homelab.
Seems I had forgotten I did that, and for that reason. And now it's in so many runbooks at work.
Laziness is a virtue, I guess.
