The wind this morning is intense. So far we've only lost power for a minute, but I'm seeing outages on the map across the street. Sirens and now what sounds like a chainsaw in the distance.

Don't text and drive. This just happened behind my house. Heard the crash of the car bouncing off the pole and then saw the pole fall into the street from inside the house.
Seems the espresso needs more time to work.
I just took off my glasses, took out my sunglasses, out on a mask, and then out my sunglasses away and my glasses back on.
While my darling wife was watching.
Making the second latte today. I weigh out everything and pull the shot.
18 g coffee grounds then into 35.5 g espresso.
Me (out loud): "I'm half by off a pound."
Yes, for some reason I completely munged the order of the words, and saying the wrong system and scale of units.
I think i really need this coffee now.

1 GOP is a death cult and has stopped hiding it or at least stopped caring.
2 Why does it feel like this whole mask vs hell no mask thing is just as likely to trigger a civil was as any other part of the culture war.
I have to wonder, given the existing mental and behavioral health crisis we already had, how it must be right now for those already struggling with thoughts that "they" are out to get them.
This does seem to explain some of what I'm seeing on the news.
This is less "well, that explains everything" and is more "I can't imagine what some people must be struggling with"

Well, the Mayor's wife said the post on FB was from someone hacking her account and no such thing ever happened. A little cliche, but OK, I'll buy it.
But the plot twists were fun.
Trying to find info about what's gong on in Virginia Beach, and the only thing I get is our 70-year-old mayor's wife posted on FB 9 days ago that he was having an affair with a 20-year-old waitress.
2020 is just trying too hard now.
Whatever is going ,on, I'm not seeing anything on public cams that suggests a big event. Maybe it was just fireworks, and someone heard something wrong. /shrug.

Random thought. The only way I can think of for the administration to win COVID-19 would be to have a vaccine ready to make each polling place an injection site. Of course it would only work if the injection happened before the vote. And you know that someone want want to make sure a card was handed out with just his signature on it.
Made a stop on the way home, so I threw on one of the masks in the car. I'm hone but I really don't want to take make msdk off because I managed to get it on so it doesn't fog up my glasses.
