Small crowd this year. The last of the cars just cleared the street.
I'm a mile from one of the city fireworks displays, but because of the trees and I can't see anything. The fun always starts after the show, when we get to bet on how long traffic will be stuck behind the house. The record is about 12:47.
So, how is everyone's Friday going so far?
Yesterday's Coffee Cup.
While getting things going this morning, I ran into the coffee cup I left out yesterday. The phase Yesterday's Coffee Cup hit my head and I couldn't help but think that would have been a perfect name for a band, album or title of a song in the 90s.
Actually a little disappointed I didn't find anything.
Happy Friday. May today's coffee be better than yesterday's, or at least better than what was left in the bottom of the cup from yesterday.

Over on the birdsite hellscape, suddenly I'm getting a lot of Dem aligned ads.
This after weeks of the most horrible ads I've ever seen. Don't know if this is from today's happy news or the near 100% blocks.
Now if the reasons for Twitter would just move to a better platform so I could kill my account.
Sitting here realizing the way I mostly navigate my hard drive on Windows anymore is "show in system explorer' in either Github Desktop or Obsidian.
Don't know why that amuses me.

Having one of those days where the only way one knows the sun has set is the light that turns on at sunset turned on.
The local utility removed the damaged pole at midnight, probably because a neighbor's tree was holding up the pole.
I'm seriously starting to wonder about the sheer number of local drivers who fail basic driving checks.
Last night we heard a bang of a type we've heard before. Looking out the back window, something didn't seem exactly right. One of the light poles behind the house got hit for the 4th time.
The driver decided it was OK to just leave the scene. Or at least, in the minute it took us to get outside, they had driven off, leaving only the pole in their wake..
I don't know of it is just the lack of espresso and meetings today talking, but is having a double shot of espresso every hour till it feels like a bad idea a bad idea?
