I am sitting here watching my work laptop work through some profane ritual masquerading as a BIOS update.
It's on its third reboot and each time it goes down, the sound system sounds like it is gasping for breath after being punched in the gut.
I am almost afraid to leave it alone until I see the desktop again.
Ah, the "comforting" view of company logo, which has been desribed by some as as looking like a skull.
So the ritual did not actually result in the bricking of the device.
