I love that there's often someone playing the piano at the Dartmouth ferry terminals (Alderney and Woodside). Lots of talented folks in this city.

So. Beaver Moon, huh. Sounds like an interesting friday night.

Damn this album is soo good. Anything but restful. In 'Rest', the band blends traditional doom elements with unexpected influences and instruments to create a sonically diverse and very ambitious album. It's an unpredictable listening experience that sets it apart from more conventional doom metal offerings.

Great to see such a turnout at the Cole Harbour cenotaph this morning despite the wet weather.

I don’t think I'm prepared for how much dumber everything’s going to get

I'm at the point in my career where I know that nothing really matters that much. I've stressed, lost sleep, pulled my hair out over projects that eventually never got realized - shelved, pushed out, shutdown. Worthless unnecessary negative impacts to my mental state. Unless lives are at stake, shit just isn't that important.

Soundgarden's 1988 debut album Ultramega OK is usually overlooked but was quite a pioneering force in shaping the grunge sound that would explode a few years later. Blending elements of churning metal riffs, a punk ethos, and psychedelia the album showcased Chris Cornell's raw, aggressive vocals and Kim Thayil's innovative guitar work influencing the emerging Seattle music scene.

Endsong has to be my fave Cure song right now. That 6 minute intro ... man they sound amazing. And Robert Smith's voice does not age.

Besides metal & whisky, my other main interest is , particularly offshore wind. My region of Canada is just beginning to develop this industry. My latest blog post looks at the recent draft Regional Assessment Report on Nova Scotia's Offshore Wind development. I examine the challenges and opportunities facing the emerging industry in Nova Scotia, including regulatory hurdles, consultation, and environmental considerations.
