Happy birthday to Swedish sculptor and crafstwoman Alice Maria Nordin (1871-1948), born #OnThisDay 151 years ago!

Alice Nordin was the daughter of master carpenter August Nordin from Boge, Gotland. She trained at the Royal Academy of Art in Stockholm 1890-96 and in Paris, Rome and Florence. She drew among other luminaries of Böhlmarks lamp factory in Stockholm.
She was the sister of the sculptor and graphic artist Hjördis Nordin-Tengbom (1877-1959).
