These new #Dune movies are about as close to following the Frank Herbert books as can be done in movie form
Simplifications of storyline & detail of a written work are just part of rendering that much info into the visual gestalts needed for motion pictures. Almost no one is capable of reading 3 standard size novels in the maximum of 8 hours timeframe that 3 movies give
I'm impressed Dennis Villeneuve has done so well. Go see them!

!! There's only so much you can do in 3-hour chunks without taking some artistic license. The first book #Dune is 21-hours long on #audiobook | I've read Dune more times than I can count, go see the movies!

Exactly. The compression is needed and appropriately done on these, in my humble opinion. I have read all the Dune novels up to Chapter House, The 3 Butlerian jihad books and the 3 great House's books. Its a great story. If they do ALL of it...it's about 4 million years long by my estimation
