Last year I got #shingles on my face (#PSA get your shingles vaccine!!) and almost lost my right eye. 18 months later and I'm left with a lot of scarring and post-herpetic neuralgia #PHN of the #trigeminal nerve. #Accupuncture has been a lifesaver, it got me off a dependency of Gabapentin and has helped make the nerve pain more managable.
Does anyone know of a topical lotion/cream that helps reduce the symptoms of post-herpetic neuralgia?
@bfgreen I’m sorry you went through that. I know someone who did lose her eye due to shingles, it’s a very long road to recovery especially with nerve pain. Hope you feel better quickly!
@SamFibonacci thank you. I'm doing great TBH, but the lingering PHN is frustrating at times. Acupuncture literally saved me!
