A more forceful response would be for them to start a recall of Mr Santos. I am a Californian and recalls are our state's buyer's remorse solution! Guessing NY does not have that available to them.
I do not hold out much hope for the resignation to actually happen.

HELLO😊 You are absolutely correct. They KNOW FULL WELL That He Will NOT Resign. Their REQUEST Is More Akin 2 THIS: “tinkling cymbals” and “sounding brass” have often been used to signify words of emptiness and confusion . We'll Keep Watching the SHOW!
