US warns that dual citizens face Russian conscription

@ballpark_frank If you're a dual citizen you're subject to possible conscription in both countries. Being also a US citizen doesn't give you a pass.
@Coctaanatis Though I'd think that there would be less chance of being conscription by the U.S. to fight in Ukraine than conscription by russia to fight in Ukraine, as the statement implies.
@ballpark_frank The US military isn't fighting in Ukraine and we don't have conscription. But the possession of US dual citizenship by no means exempts you from military obligations to Russia. You stay in Russia at your peril.

@ballpark_frank We do still register for the draft, although it's more than a little anachronistic.
