@TheNewsOwl actually the article contains a correction, but the text still says $100k, AND $10k. Editors are on vacation.
@TheNewsOwl title typo? Article says $100k

Could it be that Ukraine regaining control of the oil platforms enabled them to establish sufficient network connectivity in the Black Sea/Crimea that they don't need Starlink there?

@ceorl Can't for the life of me remember. It was by HP, it was 1993-4...
@ceorl I think used something similar waaay back -- not VR-- that made ui objects from workbench objects for rapid prototyping.
Archy was a thought experiment by Jef Raskin and his son towards a zooming user interface. I.e. A 3d cloud instead of a 2d desktop or file hierarchy.
Cool to look at and completely impractical to use beyond a few dozen documents.
And same - sporadic hobby
@ceorl
Alright are you ready to implement Archy?
@MHS_Jenkins funny thing about that is Xitter is blocked in the PRC. They don't want it used against them.
And so we're clear; MGM is an Amazon company. Hope the AWS help desk is better managed.
@sentientdessert @Beanc I don't think we're anything as important as mitochondria

Interested in Bluesky? Have a care....
"I have discovered a number of security vulnerabilities in Bluesky...Each time I've found something new, I've chosen to report it to Bluesky at [email protected], as requested.
...They did not follow up on that report and they have not responded to any of my other reports."

@mcfate I know my cat is ugly, but c'mon.
@misslovelymess @pewtergod @mcfate @voltronic
Sounds like you're low on choices - same here. I wouldn't use Frontier (again) for any reason.

https://www.protondb.com/ shows how well various games are supported by Proton.
@sentientdessert Pop!_OS+Steam(+Nvidia) is easy. In addition to the information in the article @Coctaanatis linked, a "bleeding edge" version of Proton is available, "GE-Proton". Not necessary but makes a substantial difference in some games.
